We are still in 2019, a year with a great significance for our District. In May, we celebrated 90 years<\/strong> of Rotarian presence in Romania. The impact and historical role of our organization can be seen in the retrospective of the projects that made a real, measurable change in the two countries.
\nIn 2020, we celebrate 20 years<\/strong> of existence of the 2241 Rotary District of Romania & Moldova. It is a historical event. It is a privilege and an honor for me to celebrate this with you, as the D2241 Governor.
\nWe have over 5,500 members in Rotary, Rotaract and Interact and, during these 20 years, we have all invested time, passion in charitable projects, dedicated to our communities. We have put in countless hours of work that cannot be quantified in money, but which are invaluable.
\nDuring these 20 years, we have made 382 Matching Grants, valued at $4.011.375 and 53 Global Grants, valued at $3.935.694.
\nWith the projects we have done through the Rotary Foundation, we have brought in $9.927.870, for projects concerning Rotary\u2019s areas of interest: fighting disease, supplying clean water, sanitation and hygiene, saving mothers and children, support for education, local economic growth and the eradication of polio. There are lives transformed for the better, there are communities that work better because of the involvement of Rotary members. The impact that we, as an organization, have is exceptional and I congratulate you for your involvement. We can all be happy we left something more beautiful and better behind.

1. Jubilee Plaque<\/h5>\n

1. Medal with a diameter of 60 mm, 3D graphics, 2 sides, edge thickness of 2.5 mm, and at the highest point of the white relief Paul Harris, the thickness is 4.5 mm.
\nThe Paul Harris bas-relief is plated with patinated silver, and the rest of it is a 24 Kt yellow gold medal. The background of the medal has a sandblast with the appearance of fine sand, in order to achieve the contrast between the 2 planes. Other techniques used: vibrofinishing, manual grinding, three-dimensional turned edges.

During this year as Governor, I was offered the possibility to meet you all, exceptional people, with whom I have made remarkable projects. In reality, this is the only thing that matters, this is the only thing that is left behind. This wall of good will be built further. This will happen through the example of the strong, honest, happy, fulfilled, modest, clean and good-willed Rotarians that I have met or that I have discovered. Rotary plants NOW! The seeds will grow and the fruits will be sweet.
\nThus, to honor all the efforts of the clubs and members, and to make them known, I have decided to leave behind a Golden Book, that sums up the best projects and the impact they had on the communities we are all serving. This has been tried before to no avail, but with a great patience, perseverance, enthusiasm and creativity, we have made this possible NOW. I congratulate the clubs and the Rotary members that have contributed to this book. 3. Jubileum Premium \u2013 Lux Edition<\/h5>\n

The wine is a pinot gris, white, dry, from an exceptional year 2019, Ciumbrud Domain, it is not sold, as the entire batch is reserved for Rotary D2241. The Lux edition box is handmade, has a fixed part, with glass positioning spacers, a 3-sided movable lid and a side grip with magnet. Exceptional graphics and production techniques: digital printing, gold selective varnish and hot foil.<\/p>\n

The passion of the collectors, together with their dedication in excellence, gives it a velvety aftertaste, which delights not only the palatal vault, but also the heart of the one dedicated to discovering harmony in every moment.
