If you plant honesty, you will reap confidence,

If you plant kindness, you will gather friends,

If you plant humility, you will reap greatness,

If you plant perseverance, you will reap satisfaction,

If you plant respect, you will gain perspective,

If you plant diligence, you will reap success,

If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation,

Pay attention at what you plant today, as it is what you will reap tomorrow.

Rotary Plants NOW is one of our most beloved projects. We are all concerned about our health and the health of our environment. This is why our project’s goal is to involve people, civil society, authorities, mass-media, sponsors and other organizations in protecting and growing forests.

Our planet is in a critical condition and that raises many problems at an international level. They are saying it might be too late and that our efforts are for nothing. But we do not like to give up. We are people of action, people who love to get fully involved in our actions. And plantations are among our most favorite actions.

The results we are looking for through Rotary Plants NOW:

  • An impact of national media with effects on civil society;
  • A concrete administrative-political effect, practical but with short, medium and long term results;
  • Education of young people in schools (involving the Interact and Rotaract clubs);
  • Mobilizing public opinion;
  • Encouraging other new organizations to protect and plant forests;
  • Reducing illegal deforestation.

Main objective of Rotary Plants NOW

Currently, we have over 3500 Rotarians in the 132 Rotary clubs in Romania, and the main objective of this project is to mobilize part of these Rotarians, with the aim of planting 1 million trees annually. The Rotary Club of Oradea proposed and supported this project to be implemented throughout the 2241 District 2241 Romania and Moldova, having already organized 13 editions of the project in collaboration with the schools and mayorships of Bihor, Romsilva and Interact and Rotaract clubs in Oradea.
